I live in Candyland...

I live in a town that smells like chocolate. Truly. My town smells like rich, delicious chocolate. You may think this is a good thing, but for so many reasons it is not. First of all, you have heard the saying that of much of a good thing is bad...this is the case here. I like the smell of chocolate, but every other day? Not so much. WHY does my town smell like chocolate? There are two chocolate factories very nearby. It is crazy...I feel like I live in Candyland...I just wish I could switch towns...maybe if I could head over to GumDrop Forest or visit with Queen Frostine (she looks like a good time) or even have a visit with Mr. Mint once in a while I wouldn't be so bothered by the chocolate smell, but I can't. It is like I am stuck on Mr. Gloppy's messy puddle. (I have three children...Candyland is a big part of my life right now.)

Did I mention I am trying to lose some weight? I am. I am unhappy with the "extra" Jaime that hangs out above my jeans...there are some other areas that could use some work, but we will not list all of those. Anyway, I have cut calories, carbs and boosted my protein...what is the result? I went up a pound. It has been weeks of deprivation and drinking so much water that I could swallow a live fish and it would survive in my stomach (ok, kinda gross, but you get my point). So, why don't I lose any weight? Many of my friends tell me I need to exercise (gosh I hate to exercise), but I choose to blame the chocolate smell. I think someone should do a study. I think the smell of choocolate permeating my nostrils has made me chubby. I don't actually EAT the chocolate...I can't really stand to have too much these days because of the smell. It is kind of like someone working in a donut shop...you can only be around donuts for so long before you never want to see (let alone eat) another one in your life. (By the way, I, THANKFULLY, don't like donuts).

Once in a while the chocolate smell goes away...When the farmers spread manure. THAT isn't helpful. I mean, I don't want to smell chocolate, but I want to smell pig poo even less. So, that is not a solution.

So, where does that leave me? I don't know. Tell me what you think...can chocolate smell permeating my nostrils make me chubby? (Work with me here)
